Some villas in St. Barth are destinations in themselves — places where architecture becomes part of the experience. Villa Palm Springs is unmistakably one of them. Inspired equally by the refined elegance of 1960s Southern California homes and the visionary work of architect Zaha Hadid, it boldly reimagines the traditional Caribbean cottage: four crisp white walls topped by a red pyramidal roof, intersected by a subtly offset inner cube that naturally draws the eye toward the Caribbean horizon. Two entire walls of the living area disappear thanks to a frameless retractable glass system, erasing the boundary between indoors and outdoors. Perched above Gouverneur, just two minutes from one of the island’s most secluded beaches, with Slim Aarons photography adorning the walls and an aquarium-style window revealing the inside of the pool from one of the bedrooms, Palm Springs feels less like a villa — and more like a movie set.

Living Spaces 🌿

Set beneath the dramatic cantilevered roofline of the covered terrace, the living area seamlessly combines an open kitchen and lounge in a space that feels both contemporary and inviting: white leather sofas, perfectly calibrated recessed lighting adapting to the mood of the day, a flat-screen TV, DVD player, and stereo system. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, drip coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and blender. Sheltered beneath the expansive overhang, the large solid wood dining table welcomes up to 10 guests for al fresco meals overlooking the pool and ocean.

The villa’s 5 bedrooms — all featuring king-size beds (except one with convertible twin beds), en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, dressing areas, air conditioning, HD TV with Dish Network, safe, and hairdryer — are spread across two levels, each offering a distinct atmosphere and layout.

The expansive hardwood terrace stretches elegantly around the 18-meter heated pool, where sun loungers and shaded lounge spaces nestle among vibrant bougainvillea and swaying palm trees. A raised gazebo with a comfortable lounge area creates the perfect setting for sunset aperitifs — with some of Gouverneur’s most spectacular evening views. The property is secured by a private entrance gate with parking.

Gouverneur Beach is just 2 minutes away, Saline Beach 5 minutes, and Gustavia 10 minutes.
