Jable - JAB in Saint-Barthélémy

Villa Jable (JAB) is one of the most spacious, comfortable houses in St. Barth. After an extensive renovation, it is an ideal place to relax with afternoon tea or cocktails and enjoy the expansive views of the northwest coastline and the sea toward St. Martin and Anguilla—or, better yet, to watch the sun set over the ocean. Thanks to its central location in Petite Saline, Villa Jable is quiet yet convenient to beaches, bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants. With six bedrooms and six full bathrooms, the house is perfect both for families and for groups of friends traveling together.

The luxury rental property may be known to some by its former name, Villa Sky. Now, after its complete transformation, what is most striking about the villa is its views and its spaciousness. Of course, the clean and modern design makes it easy for living. Now everything is clean-lined and soothing white. Although many of the spaces are quite large, the extensive use of wood makes the home feel warm and welcoming.

Villa Jab is spread over two levels. The main level contains the spacious living area, dining table for 12, and sleek kitchen, plus two master bedrooms and a smaller room for children, which is connected to one of the master suites. These common areas are all air-conditioned, but for those who prefer ocean breezes, they also open on to a wide, mostly covered terrace with lounge beds in the shade and sun.

Downstairs, three additional bedrooms open on to the main deck. This has the 45-foot-long main swimming pool (one of the largest on the island), which has a shallow pool meant for children connected on one end, as well as much chaises for sunbathing. Both pools are heated.

All six of Villa Jab’s bedrooms are accessed from outside, which enhances their privacy, and they have US satellite TV, closets, and ensuite bathrooms with showers. They have either European king-size beds or twin beds that can be converted to a king. All but the smaller room upstairs have ocean views. One of the rooms on the local level is wheelchair accessible and has features for disabled guests.
